About Dr. Torrence Watkins

Dr. Watkins has been serving the Laveen/South Phoenix Area since 2007. Dr. Torrence Watkins graduated from Northeast Missouri State University (Truman State University) with a Bachelor’s of Science in Pre-Medicine/Biology. He attended the Pennsylvania College of Optometry (Salus University) and earned a Doctorate of Optometry with honors in Pediatrics and Ocular Disease. His specialties include contact lenses, Lasik, cataract co-management and pediatrics. He enjoys being active in the community, He was elected to the Laveen School District Board in 2020.

Dr Watkins has also served on the Laveen/South Mountain Chamber of Commerce and The Laveen Baseball league’s governing board. Dr Watkins also volunteers at Phoenix Rescue Missions providing eye examinations to the mens and womens groups as well as traveled to Africa to provide over 300 kids with exams and eyeglasses.
